This book is a collection of the incomplete memoirs of late V.K.R.V. Rao, an outstanding economist and well-known institution builder in the country. V.K.R.V Rao died before he could finish writing this volume. It contains chapters by him about his education, his tenure as the Vice Chancellor, and his ministerial days. The annexe consisting of pieces by other economists sketch Rao's contributions to several fields-building the Delhi School of Economics, the Institute of Economic Growth, his contribution to taxation, national income measurement, agriculture, and population research.
