Cases cited are referred to with dates, and references to all the reports of every case are given in the Table of Cases. Bearing in mind the respect shown to the decisions of the Scotch and Irish Courts in several recent cases, I have included a considerable selection of Scotch and Irish cases as well as all the English decisions upon the subject reported since the appearance of the first edition of this work. The Table of Statutes shows the various pages in which each section is cited or contained.
