Brighton
I was stuck in this town waiting for a ghost from my past. Davi was supposed to meet me here. Every night was a struggle to work in a shitty bar looking over my shoulder for the other shoe to drop. For someone to pick up on my whereabouts or see through the facade. Dating was a joke and I spent my days searching for clues on where the others could possibly be, but it was overwhelming.
I stayed even as my hope dwindled, her family was here and if she was going to end up anywhere it would be here in the middle of nowhere Montana.

This mission had gotten to me. The pictures of the redheaded girl with a fire in her eyes had gotten to me. Like a drug I had to find her and bring her home. It was the strongest connection I had ever had with someone I had never met.
The first time I saw her my heart lurched and I could only hope that she still had that same fire inside. I saw it lingering there, as I watched her from the shadows. That fight, because that's what I needed. Fight.
