Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Oregon Walnut
There is probably no horticultural industry that holds out greater promise of large profits with so little chance of failure, as the culture of the English walnut in Oregon.
It is true there are but few groves that have reached such an age as to show profits as compared with the phenomenal yields of some fruit farms, but there are enough bearing groves to prove the wisdom of past plantings and to encourage the building of a great industry for the future.
The distinctive feature of the walnut in Oregon is that a failure in productiveness is unknown, and all trees that have reached the bearing age are producing more heavily than in any other portion of the globe.
