Publisher's Synopsis

It's 1990, the beginning of the spring semester at St. Catherine's Academy, and Rachel, oft described as a "prissy ass," gets into trouble for the first time in her 12-year Catholic school career.

After laughing at a nun's funeral, she finds herself facing a month's detention. Detention opens another world for Rachel, where she meets Dennis, an all-American athlete who is serving a sentence for doing something of a sexual nature on school grounds (no one is quite sure of the details). Naturally, she falls
for him. Her friend Jackie comes up with a brilliant plan for ensnaring this popular boy.

The plan takes on added adventure when Rachel and Jackie decide to actually head to the beach
and have their "total party weekend," necessitating scheming and bald-faced lies to their parents. But it's their final hurrah before Jackie goes off to college, and nothing will stop them.
