Publisher's Synopsis
The Old Apartment Building is a story of a young African-American family living in a small poverty-stricken neighborhood in the city of Chicago. The father, David, mother, Martha, twin boys and their sisters Lee and Mary. This average family continues to do their daily activities of going to work, doing the household chores and the children enjoying summertime activities. Their lives do change when Lee and Mary decide to explore an old rundown apartment building. Their discovery allows the whole family to realize the value they have discovered in the old run-down apartment building. They are not only able to get a glimpse of the past but also to gain a sense of hope for the future.
