Excerpt from The Obstetrical Journal of Great Britain and Ireland, Vol. 8: Including Midwifery and the Diseases of Women and Children; January to December, 1880
M. R., aged nineteen years and eight months; a tall, well nourished young lady, who has up to this illness enjoyed good health. Catamenia have been regular, but generally rather copious, the ?ow continuing for a week or a little more.
April, 1875. - Seized with an alarming attack of epistaxis, inducing syncope and prolonged weakness.
August 23. - Has been in good health since the epistaxis. IS now marked on arms and legs with purpura spots, which, She says, appeared soon after a quick walk to catch a train. Cata menia this month very profuse, and lasting for ten days.
