Excerpt from The New Orders for the Regulation of the Practice and Proceedings of the Court of Chancery: Issued by the Lord High Chancellor, 26th August, 1841; With Remarks on Their Effect on the Present Practice of the Court, and Some Suggestions for Reforming the Said Court
I. That there shall forthwith be prepared a proper Alphabetical Book for the purposes after mentioned, and that such book shall be called the Solicitors' Book, and shall be publicly kept at the Office of the Six Clerks, to be there inspected without fee or reward.
