"The New Illustrated Guides" is a series of 12 books which provides a range of volumes covering the best in air, land and sea warfare. This book is an account of contemporary markings in the world of military aviation. Camouflage, individual unit markings and the range of stencil instructions found on the modern combat aircraft are explored. Information for every airforce in the world is provided charting current dispositions of air power. The book is illustrated throughout with photos, artworks and force level tables, charts and unit insignia. Mike Spick was a contributor to Salamander's "The Battle of Britain" and was the author of "Modern Air Combat" and "Modern Fighting Helicopters". He is at present the editor of the magazine, "Air International".
