Excerpt from The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Vol. 76: July, 1922
In the Vital Records of Great Barrington, by the New England Historic Genealogical Society in 1904, th grave stone records used were those from the South Cemetery. The deaths of only a few of the persons buried ln the Muddy Brook Cemetery are found ln the town and church records which were used ln com piling the printed book, and therefore the inscriptions which follow furnish a considerable addition to the Vital records of the town.
Abigail Atwood, died Sept. 1803, aged 80 years. By L. Atwood. Amy, Wife of Phineas Atwood, Died Aug.2 Aged 73 years. Clarence, nov. 13, 1884, Oct. 4, 1886.
