Publisher's Synopsis
The idea of trickle-down economics is a metaphor rooted in a misunderstanding of the concept of gravity. The basic idea behind trickle-down economics is that if you make the rich better off, then they will make the whole population better off in a process that resembles water trickling from the top of a tree down to its roots. This is a nice thought. However, water trickles from the top of a tree down to its roots because of a gravitational force. The flow of money also adheres to the theory of gravity. More precisely, money adheres to the laws of nature and can be described and better understood using the natural sciences.
