Bookseller Notes

'The More Deserving Cases' refers to old discarded poems which Graves was asked to re-assess. 'Eighteen of them are here resurrected, for however brief a new life, by the kindness of my great-nephew Martin Freeth, Master of the Chapel at Marlborough College, and his fellow-printers.' (Foreword). The edition numbering is rather inconsistent, with several of the buckram-bound copies (the remaining 350 of the edition) on the market, inscribed with numbers over 500.
