Publisher's Synopsis
In this second volume, students continue to feast on the Middle Ages through interdisciplinary learning for grades 5 -9. Each unit contains a touch of reading, writing, and mathematics. Students consume the Medieval era through short history lessons, extended art projects with step-by-step instructions, and short quizzes. Students have a chance to snack on more castles and stained glass with a couple of shields added to the mix. There is an introduction to visual art concepts relating to the Italian Renaissance such as chiaroscuro and linear perspective. The ingredients of each unit are reproducible and have been kid-tested and are teacher-approved. Inside is a recipe for more Medieval fun that allows flexibility for any classroom teacher or home school facilitator to add his/her own spices.
