The author has produced a distinguished work, which will give a great impetus to the dietetic treatment of cancer and to rational diet as well. He believes cancer to be due to meat eating, and curable by a vegetarian diet and the administration of potassium salts. As a result of many years' investigations and laboratory work he is of the opinion that cancer is a systemic disease. He describes at length his researches and efforts to find the cause and cure for cancer. He advises the use of the inner skin of potatoes as food and the cooking of potatoes with their skins on to retain the potassium salts, which are usually wasted by being pared off. He gives a complete diet for cancer. Constipation is included among the causes. This book will make his treatment available to all cancerous and pre-cancerous patients and should be given extensive reading and the method a thorough trial by the profession.
