The writer reminisces about his father, Jonathan Bryan May, his father's parents Jonathan Brooks and Nicie Elizabeth Kinnaird May, and his father's eight siblings, their lives, quirks, and relationships. He has felt free to speculate and interpret their personalities and motivations with consideration, humor, and the understanding that sometimes comes with maturity.
