A. Longmore, and a bio grapk ical notice by Miss Helen Taylor, prefixed to buckle's'miscellaneous and Posthumous Works, of wkic/i an important part was contributed by M iss Skim/eff. To Miss Taylor all admirers of Buckle and of learning 'owe a debt of gratitude. Nave compared t/ze manuscript and print of Buckle's Post humous Works wit/z some attention; and, tkouglz nave been able to detect a few misprints, and doubt.
