Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Law of Land Contracts
This work is submitted to the legal profession as the result of several years' research on the various subjects treated. It is intended to be a practical treatise for the busy practitioner on the subject of land contracts, preliminary and otherwise, and of the rights, remedies, and obligations growing out of such contracts.
The equity forms incorporated in this treatise have been made as brief as possible to conform to the letter and spirit of the Judicature Act. Certain changes have been made' to con form to recent Supreme Court decisions, statutory provisions, and Circuit Court Rules. These modern changes are discussed in Section 80 of the text.
The author desires to acknowledge receipt of many helpful suggestions from members of the Detroit bar in the prepara tion of the manuscript, for which he extends thanks and will be pleased to receive in the future suggestions as to how the work may be improved.
He is also mindful of the fact that this treatise will not answer every question presented to it by the legal profession on the subjects discussed herein, nevertheless, if this work shall render the law of Land Contracts and collateral subjects more accessible to the legal profession, the author will feel himself well repaid for the labor expended thereon.
