A guide to both the substantive and procedural aspects of the law of extradition in the UK, with the coming into force of the Extradition Act 1989, and the UK's adherence to the European Convention on Extradition. The book provides a detailed analysis of the regime, involving four principal sets of rules, viz: for State-parties to the 1957 European Convention; for designated Commonwealth countries; for State-parties to bilateral treaties which were entered into under the 1870 Act; and backing of warrants form the Republic of Ireland.
