Excerpt from The Law and Practice in Special Proceedings, 1858: And in Special Cases, Within the Courts, Etc, of the State of New York; With an Appendix of Forms
Much attention has been given to the forms in the Appendix; which are designed to be full and complete. In preparing. Them, I have carefully consulted the statute, as well as the approved books of practice which have treated of the subject under consideration, and have derived valuable assistance from the works of Messrs. Barbour, Burrill, Tilling hast, and others. A separate index to the forms may be found at the end of the volume.
An index to the work itself may also be found at the end of the volume and to increase still further the facilities for reference, I have prefixed to the volume an analysis of the several chapters and sections.
The authorities, and cases adjudicated by the courts, are brought down to the latest published reports and the imten tion has been to include all the authorities and cases found in the reports of this State bearing upon the subjects considered.
