One element in his plan is, perhaps, not particularly common. Women make up a large proportion of most congregations; and yet it is rarely that a special sermon is addressed directly to them. The sixth sketch in this volume, that of Pilate's Wife, is meant more especially for those of her later sisters Whose sympathies.
