Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Journal of the South African Ornithologists Union, 1916, Vol. 11
This will be the last number of the Journal of the and in saying farewell the Editor wishes to thank those contributors who have made it possible for him to issue a Journal, even though it may only have been one or two numbers a year. In future the 'journal' will be incorporated with that of the sa. Biological Society, the scope of which, although much wider, will still embody all that our Journal has done hitherto. The reasons for this change are given in the body of this volume. Naturally I much regret to see the name of the Society I was mainly instrumental in founding dis appear and give place to another, but hope that the change will be for the better, in so far that it Will be possible in future to publish a regular Quarterly Journal. I trust the new venture will receive the Whole-hearted support of our old contributors.
