Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Journal of the Iron and Steel Institute, 1873
Assembled as we now are, away from the home of the Institute, at one of the localities, and within a few hours' journey of others, in the three great ironmaking States of Continental Europe, viz., Belgium, France, and Germany, it may be interesting to consider, very brie?y, of course, some of the peculiar circumstances affecting the produc tion of this metal as compared with those of our own country.
