Publisher's Synopsis
"The Jogger" is a first person narrative about a realtor who becomes stalked by a man in jogging clothes. He seems like a normal man, one who would blend in just about anywhere, but he sticks out immediately to the narrator. The narrator finds him menacing and reminds our narrator of the first time he was stalked and attacked by a scrawny classmate during college. This stalker is much different and has a supernatural quality about him. The story takes on a subtle and unexpected science fiction theme. The story takes a turn for the worse, leaving the narrator exposed to this dangerous man, unwillingly at the mercy of the jogger. Will our narrator escape unharmed or will his life be irreparably altered?
