Jack Whalen was an LAPD patrol cop for twelve years. He left under a cloud and now he's not really sure what he is. One thing he does know is that he loves his wife, Amy. So when she goes missing on a routine business trip, his world is shaken. Jack sets out to search for her, only to discover that there is something far more mysterious going on than her apparent disappearance. When he is contacted by a childhood acquaintance for assistance and a ten-year-old girl goes missing, Jack searches for answers in the dark secrets of his past.
