The Mays moved from the city to this town due to Lee-Anne's father's (Papa George) health. Now retired Mr. Mays, and his wife Mama Joe (short for Josephine), spend most of their time volunteering and working on their five-acre plot.
Peter (Pete) is Lee-Anne's best friend. At thirteen, he too is brilliant. A programming genius, and an only child. Pete spends most of his time programming and creating new gadgets, which Lee-Anne is called to test.
A mystery unfolds due to a secret message left in a gaming app. Suspense and intrigue lead to many twists and turns as Pete and Lee-Anne use all their skills and wit to solve the secret that lurks behind this message portal.
