He attended Jackson State University, where he received an undergraduate degree in business administration and master's degree in Guidance and Counseling. He was a member of the Sonic Boom of the South Marching Band. He has faithfully served the Body of Christ in various capacities for many years. Dennis is currently a member, elder and board member at Freedom Ministries Int'l Church, Jackson, Mississippi.
