Taking a retrospective look at some of our greatest cultural and social achievements, the author concludes that we are simply human robots, placed on this earth to fulfill, through the faculty of free will, a creative mission entrusted to us by our Supreme Creator. The author also analyses the role of religion and spirituality, creativity and cognitive evolution. Ignorance, personal interests, and selfish ideologies are a perverse trilogy that has deeply affected humanity since the beginning of time. We are perpetually forced to make decisions because we are free. Given our inescapable conundrum, we have no other alternative but to decide our own destiny. We cannot delegate any part of our destiny to any other person of higher being.
