Publisher's Synopsis
Once upon a time, a man wrote a book. And it caused quite a stir among some who thought they had the keys of the kingdom well in hand. Published in 1636, Peter Heylyn's The history of the Sabbath: in two bookes details how man's religion re-skinned the Jewish Sabbath and called it a Christian ordinance. I have edited it to modernize the English and eliminate most of the Latin in an attempt to make this work available and accessible to 21st century readers.
