This multimedia, interactive Mac/Windows CD-ROM can be used for teaching and demonstrating the anatomy of the hip, thigh and knee. It forms part of "The Anatomy Project" 20 CD-ROM series and features approximately 50 minutes of movie tutorials, an interactive atlas, a searchable glossary, and summaries of text with digital video review. There are also interactive questions with remediation for wrong answers, software help, and seven selectable user levels - undergraduate, nursing, physical therapy, radiotherapy, dental, medical and postgraduate. The program presents specially-commissioned prosections, still and real-time medical imaging, histology and live action, with voice-over narration using classical "Nomina Anatomica" pronunciations.
