Marriage poses great risks for two people who innocently agree to vows without knowing for certain that the commitment will be honored. How does one cope when the other party rejects the vows and brazenly seeks another relationship? Brad Crosley did what most men would not do. When Stella leaves him and their infant son, he determines to carry out his promise of faithfulness by searching for his adulterous wife. An Old Testament prophet named Hosea, under the orders of Almighty God, married a prostitute, and fathered children with Gomer. She returned to her previous life only to be brought back by the prophet, again, under direct orders from God. Brad Crosley was not a prophet. He was a red-blooded man of integrity with no allegiance to God who pledged unconditional love for a woman who deserted him. Humbly accepting the accusation of being gullible and borderline lunatic, he pursues Stella knowing she might not be willing to restore their relationship. Meanwhile, Brad becomes aware of the fact that he also is being pursued by a God he could no longer ignore.
