Publisher's Synopsis
A dead body found one morning in the back garden of a hairdresser in the village of Lockdown appears to be simply the unfortunate accidental death of an alcoholic intent on stealing her lawn mower. The hairdresser is not so sure and, with the help of her friend an engineer, she finds that some of her friends in the high street may not be quite what they seem. She becomes curious to find out more about this dark side of Lockdown and soon events unfold that shock her. The hairdresser becomes more resolute and, faithfully assisted by her dog walking companion the engineer, they fully expose the secret activities of her former friends in Lockdown.
