In the Green Lady, the Knight travels to an ancient grove to save a young blind woman. In the heat of battle, she is taken prisoner. Shorty travels to the Gates of Hell to save her. Their escape from Hell would have been a remarkable success if only the Princes of Hell could just take a joke and ignore a few insults. Can the Knight save his Lady from being taken back to Hell? Can the Lady save the Knight from his own sense of duty? Can either survive the reckless choices they make in the name of Friendship? Only the Goddess knows and she is not telling.
In Becoming Da Mama, Shorty finds himself in another unexpected predicament. When the stolen egg cracks, the tiny red dragon stares at Shorty and cries, "Mama?" In a panic, Shorty looks to the small mechanical owl he just saved from the Dragon Mama's lair. "Me kne no be da Mama! What me posed ta do now?" The tiny owl answers, "Your baby is hungry. I suggest you feed him."
And in On da Way ta Market, no good deed goes unpunished. From an "oopses" at home to trying to stop a Royal assassination, Shorty finds himself in trouble time and again. If not for his favorite ball, th-thump th-thump, he would be bored out of his mind which only leads to more trouble. And introducing the intrepid Cat, Mistress of the Great Game. Can even she keep Shorty out of trouble?
