Publisher's Synopsis
Populist movements from the left & right wing are crippling the democratic discourse to varying degrees in Europe & the Americas. They are alternatively influenced by societal historical & existential issues in Europe & the USA pertaining to immigration, narcotics traffic from Asia & South America, pressing climate issues, industrial era holdouts & the BRICS nation states themselves, seeking an alternative currency to the USD & power within or to the exclusion of the UN & global rules-base system itself. Further, the BRICS nation states are actively channelling their political will through simplistic, cultish movements & populist authoritarian charismatic personalities in eastern Europe & the USA. In this case, national sovereignties should view their interests as aligned with the courts as the rock of stability in unsteady times.
