The German in this fiction novel is a man and a father who is ready to do whatever it takes for the right cause and his family. Categorized as the German in the German Uniform, Konrad Schulte has to distinguish the positive aspects of his position and conserve them in his battle to overcome the overall expectations of what a German uniform brings in the 1940's era. Determined in his belief that everyone has the right to choose who they want to be, Schulte has to prove that people don't have to fear every German in a uniform they meet.
