Therefore, Henry got power to invade Ire land, to extend the boundaries of the Church, and to decla? to an ignorant and rude people, the truth of the Christian faith - to root out weeds from the Lord's vineyard - to subj ugate the peo ple to laws - and to pay one penny annually, out of each house, to the See of St. Peter.
