The chapters have been so arranged that they can be taken in groups (3. G. Chapters VII - XII deal with transport). Thus groups may be omitted or reversed in order if necessary. In this way by judicious selec tion a two-years course can be planned which will give the student a sound working knowledge of the subject without omitting too much detail.
