This collection of articles is the outcome of an international gathering of indigenous and other scholars to discuss the future of the indigenous peoples. The book is edited by Ismael Abu-Saad, a member of the indigenous Negev Bedouin Arab community and an associate professor in the Department of Education at the University of Minnesota, and by Duane Champagne, a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa from North Dakota and a professor of sociology at UCLA. Contributors are Rebecca Tsosie, Oren Yiftachel, Stefano Varese, Betty Mindlin, Carlos Alberto Torres, John N.
