I readily embrace the Opportunity afforded me by the printing of this edition, to make a few corrections in my account of the campaign of Waterloo. Since the book was first published, in 1885, I have had occasion to make a careful study of this campaign, the results of which I have embodied in a separate work. The changes I have made in this edition, while not numerous, are of some importance.
