Repentance is the act of turning away from your sins and turning to the Lord. This is always done out of respect for who He is and with the understanding that God loves you and will always do for you what only He can do through you.
Repentance marks the beginning of a relationship with God. The act of turning to the Lord is our acknowledgment that God exists, and we have the promise from the Bible that we will receive a reward for seeking Him. What better reward than the Holy Spirit of God coming into our lives to help us and to guide us to the truth. Step #3 Obey
Receiving the Holy Spirit leads us to become willing participants in accomplishing the will of God. We become ambassadors for Christ as we walk in the light with a servant's heart, ready and willing to obey with exceedingly great joy! Step #4 Believe
When you experience the presence of God in your life and begin to hear His voice in your own mind as the Holy Spirit speaks the Word of God to you and gives you revelation and wisdom, then you will believe. You will have the evidence of the things you hope for and the substance of the things that you cannot see. You will have reason to acknowledge the presence of God in your life. You will have faith!
