The object of this work was to study the conditions and determine which conditions are the best for the extraction of potash alum from alunite. If such process. Using the con ditions thus determined. Is employed. The ex traction of the alum will be more economical than methods heretofore used. Most of which require a sulphuric acid leaching solution and generally require a source of potash other than the alunite itself.
