Should the final purpose be ao complished, which the present volume contributes but partially to establish, and the plan of the author receive a perfect development; he is sanguine enough to hope, that his work will not be found undeserving of the title under which he purposes the detached parts of it should be combined the divine vocation o F abraham dwmtrated, from the Expectatiom formed by all nathons, that a great deijiverer' would appear about the time of our lord's advent.
