This is the history of humans from 6 million years ago until the Mesolithic Period based entirely on evidence based discoveries. From 1.8 million years ago the focus shifts mainly to the Eurasian continent and the very specific adaptations that our ancestors made there, evolving eventually to become the modern Eurasians of today. From 120,000 years a sharp light is shone on European specific evolution revealing how Europeans became the people they were finally to become.
The narrative reveals how the varying environment both climate and fauna in Eurasia played a unique role in forcing an equatorially adapted species to evolve into humans capable of dealing with a wide range of new and life-threatening challenges. This evolution involved not just behavioural adaptation, but very specific physiological adaptations, such as skin, hair and eye colour, to face shape and many others.
By the end of the book the reader will have learnt how small tree living quadrupeds incapable of speech became the modern Europeans of today.
