I want to share two things that have prompted me to write this little book. The first is from my personal experience/testimony: By the time that we were married in 1954, Barbara was playing the organ and I was directing the choir. I was also on the Church Board, and Chairman of the Evangelism Committee.Nine years later, in 1963, I had a powerful conversion experience and surrendered all to Jesus as Lord.The second reason for writing this is the burden I carry for all of the ministers who will have to give an account for all of the souls like me who were given "church membership" and satus, and were never questioned about their faith.The writer of Hebrews warns church members to obey and submit to the church leaders, but does not warn the leaders about their responsibilities!Obey your leaders and submit to them-for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account-so that they may do this with joy, not groaning; for this would be unhelpful for you. All leaders will give an account for the souls of every person they ever led!The gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
