The last hand in our ms. (25) completed the supply leaf containing the conclusion of 1 St. John, and on Fol. 135 wrote 2 St. John, but We have not edited his contribution as it is written in Caroline characters of the late ninth century, and agrees with the Vulgate texts of that period. The change from the previous anglo-irish writing to Caroline writing shows that our ms., before the ninth century closed, had crossed the Channel and become domiciled in France.
