Publisher's Synopsis
The End of the Beginning is set in the near future. The world sits on the brink of societal collapse as a result of global climate change. Following a major global incident, a new international agency is formed called UNIRO, the United Nations International Rescue Organization, drawing to it all those with a passion to save lives and preserve the planet. In contrasting parallel, a terrorist organization called Terra Nova, bred from hate and governmental inaction, rises to power on the world stage. Humanity's fate will lie in the hands of a war hero, Captain William Emerson, and UNIRO - at least, the parts of it that have yet to be compromised.
