This is an anthology of contemporary Swiss literature to be translated into English. Almost one third of the texts are originals, published for the first time in any language. It includes both fiction and non-fiction texts which explore Switzerland's complex love-hate relationship with the United States, and a preface on the views of Max Frisch and Friedrich Durrenmatt, two of Switzerland's most prominent literary figures.
