Publisher's Synopsis
As Humanity continues to explore the stars, they come across the Drakarens, a race of militaristic reptiles who misread the peaceful intentions of a Terran Captain and launch an invasion on Terran Republic space. Into this new conflict comes Charles Powers, newly assign Executive Officer of the frigate TRS Augsburg, who faces his own fears and has his faith tested over Epsilon Trianguli VI.
In the second story, Charles' son, Jacob, is captured by the Sa'na, who guards their borders to the point that anyone who trespasses in their space never comes out alive. He is taken to the Sa'na Homeworld and given a warning about a calamity that is about to come down on the entire Orion Spur. That, and the secrets entrusted to him, would impact his life and career.
But promises must be kept.
