This book, by the author of "The Dominion of Dreams," etc., etc., comprises the narrative essay, on one of the deepest problems of spiritual life, which, under the title "The Divine Adventure," attracted much attention on its appearance in the Fortnightly Review. "Iona" is the longest and completest study of this remote but famous island from the personal standpoint which exists. The greater part of the book comprises the most personal writings Miss Macleod has published; and much of "Iona" and "By Sundown Shores" is reminiscent and otherwise autobiographical.
