The disposal of sheep dip waste has been identified as a threat to the quality of groundwater resources. Therefore a two-year project was carried out by WRc which concentrated initially on groundwater quality and then expanded to include the effects on surface waters in the upland sheep farming catchments typical of Scotland and N Ireland.;This is their final report which includes recommendations for the control and prevention of water pollution by sheep dip waste.
