Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Diary of a Journalist, 1920
IN volumes published during the last five years telling the story of a journey of Sixty Years in the Wilderness there were given occasional entries from my Diary. The form of continuous narrative was found more in accord ance with the design of the work, and the notes from the Diary were few and far between. The habit dominant through many years of daily noting interesting events coming within personal observation, yielded a collection personally, politically and historically interesting.
